HSAA represents a unique homeschool community that provides athletes who are home educated
the opportunity to participate in a high-quality faith-based sports program where Christ is honored.


1. Promote the physical conditioning and skills training of all athletes.
2. Encourage the personal and spiritual development of all athletes.
3. Support all HSAA teams and strengthen the homeschool community.


As an organization, we strive to live out the biblical calling of mentorship of our youth in Christ. We are committed to bringing out the best in our young men and women, with our goal being to advance Christ’s message as a part of HSAA Basketball and beyond. While HSAA is a competitive sports program, we also strive to work in concert with all HSAA athletic teams, and area homeschool organizations to develop and promote an outstanding homeschool experience for all participating families.


When you decide to join the HSAA family here is what you receive for your investment:
-Approximately 100 hours of practice/gym time
-Between 24 and 40+ games in a season, depending on age level
-Quality paid, stipended, and volunteer coaches
-Game uniform and practice jersey for the season
-Participation in the NCHBC Regional and National tournaments, a highlight for most players


HSAA is a non profit that relies heavily on parent volunteers to accomplish our goals each year. When you play with HSAA you will have the opportunity to get involved in many ways - as a team parent, running the clock or keeping the book at games, taking team photos, helping with special events... There are plenty of ways to use your talents!


Pre-Season Workouts for Current and Prospective Players

Tryouts for High School Boys (HSB) will be at The Salvation Army in McKinney.
  • 8/13, 8/20 - 4:00-7:00
  • 8/15, 8/22 - 3:00-6:00
Practice for HSB will start 9/3 and the current schedule is:
  • Mondays 4:00-6:00 Varsity Boys
  • Tuesdays 4:00-6:00 JV Boys
  • Tuesdays 6:00-8:00 Varsity Boys
  • Thursdays 4:00-6:00 JV Boys
The tryout schedule for HSG, MSG, MSB at First Baptist Richardson.
  • 8/13, 8/20, 8/27 - 4:30-6:30 Middle School Boys
  • 8/13 - 6:30-8:30 High School Girls
  • 8/15 - 6:30-8:00 High School Girls
  • 8/16 - 6:00-8:00 Middle School Girls
  • 8/20, 8/27 - 6:30-8:30 Middle School Girls
  • 8/23, 8/30 - 6:00-8:00 High School Girls

  • Mondays, 6:30-8:30 High School Girls

  • Fridays, 6:00-8:00 Middle School Boys

We will assess 10U players at Middle School Boys or Middle School Girls tryouts.
